Lina Romay is found, naked and bloody in a luxurious house and is promptly taken to a mental institute. The doctors and nurses meant to take care of her aren't exactly who they seem and a mysterious figure, clad in black, circles the premise at night, offing nubile young women. Who is it and why is he/she doing it, and why is Lina Romay always close-by witnessing it when it happens? Franco raises a lot of interesting questions that keeps the viewer intrigued for the duration of the feature presentation. Franco this time incorporated some thriller/slasher elements and made the film all the better for it. Acting-wise it's pretty much business as usual - bad! But the girls are beautiful and naked... and let's face it, that's what these productions were all about. The photography is simply stunning, although a few instances can be seen where there seems to be vaseline smeared on the lens of the camera, but it really isn't distracting. An entertaining little Franco-gem. Sure, it's mainly for the fans but if you're looking for a way into the Franco universe, this is as good a place to start as any...

Eine besonders fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit gab es von 1975 bis 1977 in der Schweiz mit Filmemacher Erwin C. Dietrich. Der unter anderem daraus entstandene und 1978 in den deutschen Kinos gelaufene „Frauen ohne Unschuld“ (mittlerweile auch bekannt als „Wicked Women“) gehört allerdings zu den schwächeren Ergebnissen dieser Kollaboration. Где-то за городом находится небольшая экспериментальная клиника, где пациентам разрешено не прятать свои фантазии и психозы, а рекомендуется, наоборот, выпячивать их. Одна пациентка нянчится с куклой, другой пациент ходит в военной форме... С врачами у них отношения "на равных", особенно с главным врачом, который и придумал всё это. Но однажды такая терапия приводит к тому, что один пациент убивает врача. На его место приходит работать молодая девушка, которой приходится знакомиться с пациентами... Персонажи совершенно запредельные, их актёрская игра убивает в хорошем смысле. Любители фильмов про психиатрические клиники не должны пропускать этот замечательный фильм. Не смотря на то, что он условно проходит во ведомству "ужасов", это всё же ироничный и местами крайне смешной фильм про психушку, к финалу перерастающий в триллер. Может понравиться и любителям ужасов, и ценителям "артхауса"...

Originally shot as a straight-forward thriller, "Confessions of a Psycho Cat" was later(three years) given the all-to-familiar sexual insert treatment to appeal to fans of sexploitation. It makes things terribly unbalanced, but on the other hand, gives the film an odd quality. In one scene we have LaMotta, who has the acting prowess of Tor Johnson, in his apartment talking with a young hooker. It takes only about 3 seconds before you realize that this topless (and clueless) actress isn't really in room with him, but has (terribly) been edited in. More than likely, the original actress (who's legs you can see at one point) was clothed, and I guess that wasn't good enough. The added footage is rather funny: the rooms don't match, the background noise doesn't match, and most amusingly, the back-and-forth dialogue is just plain retarded! There's several other silly moment like this, but all-in-all, "Confessions of a Psycho Cat" is wild, zany, over-the-top ride that 60's exploitation fans will get a kick out of...

This is the full DVDRip of the classic grindhouse exploitation flick Confessions of a Psycho Cat starring boxing legend Jake La Motta. It's one of many versions of "The Most Dangerous Game" but certainly the sleaziest and funniest.
