The Late Wade Nichols stars as a Police Detective looking for a rich man's daughter who is missing. R. Bolla plays his grumpy Captain who hate Wade's guts. Bolla who is an adult film actor has no sex scenes, as if he was ready to go mainstream (he did several horror films since). The ending was poor as Wade dies, and the sound is bad. The video version has video insert tacked in on the sex scenes to make the scene longer. Wade, in my opinion is one of the best adult film actors (next to Sonny Landham) to make a transition to mainstream films, it's too bad about his death. Adult films in the 70's had good plot to keep the audience watching, but plotlines died in the late 80's...

Rugged private eye Jimmy Dillinger (well played to the tough guy hilt by Wade Nichols) finds himself embroiled in a seedy and dangerous world of drugs, murder, prostitution, gangsters and white slavery when he searches the sordid New York City punk rock scene for missing teenage runaway Jenny Jordan (fetching brunette Susaye London). Director/co-writer Carter Stevens offers a pleasingly sleazy wallow in the extremely coarse'n'nasty neon slime: we've got excessive profane dialogue, a few attractive ladies deliver a nice smattering of tasty female nudity, a smidgen of raunchy sex, a constant snappy pace, hard-boiled narration, a remarkably tricky and complex plot, authentically grimy urban cesspool locations, a grotty tone, a heated shoot-out, and a genuinely startling surprise downbeat ending that packs a potent punch right to the gut. Moreover, there's a nifty rogues' gallery of colorful low-life characters: Richard Bolla as huffy, cynical cop Detective Joe Giovanni, Bobby Astyr as twitchy, wormy hoodlum Igor, Elda Gentile as brash pimp punkette Vanessa Garbo, Crystal Sync as sweet'n'saucy hooker Jana, Jean Sanders as zonked-out junkie dancer Nan, and Randy Coppasquatto as Vanessa's slimy henchman Ralphie. Best of all, there's a mighty vivid and flavorsome evocation of the grubby 70's Big Apple underground punk milieu, complete with first-rate raw and energetic live stage performances by the punk bands the Fast, the Squirrels, Spicy Bits, and Elda and the Stillettos. Prudence Prevails' gritty cinematography does the trick. The funky pulsating score likewise hits the groovy spot. A lot of deliciously down'n'dirty fun.

Quando l'amore è oscenità, or more commonly known as Oscenità, is a very rare and hard to find film. I only know of two sources which carry it. Of all the hype I've heard of this little known rarity, it does stand up to what is said. This movie does deliver the goods. This masterpiece directed by Renato Polselli (aka Ralph Brown) was made in 73, but censors deemed the movie too demeaning towards women. The films dialog was changed and not released until 79, taking on a different approach-now aimed at masculine perversions. Oscenità surely beats out the "sexploitation" competition by D'Amato and others. The film presents an array of nasties, from intercourse with a tree branch, candle masturbation, whipping, switchblade foreplay, orgies, a woman urinating in a bucket, black magic lesbian rituals, toe masturbation & women fooling around with a real corn on the cobb.The film is only in Italian with no subtitles. The picture was not the best quality (which I think actually adds a surreal look to the film), but it was a very interesting viewing experience. I highly recommended this film for fans of exploitation and the obscure...

Ползелли считал, что его картина должна стать уроком непристойности, а главной непристойностью он считал религию. Не удивительно, ведь он является ярым атеистом. В итоге «Непристойность» вышла в 1979 году, хотя была снята ещё в 1973. Полная версия фильма содержит всё: от детально показанного хард-корового секса до совокуплений с ослом; и считается одним из самых шокирующих и жестких порно фильмов всех времён. Многие говорят, что это первый откровенный итальянский порно фильм. В том же 1973 году Ренато снял ещё одну ленту «Размышления психиатра о мире развратного секса» (Rivelazioni di un psychiatra sul mondo perverso dell sesso), очень похожую на «Непристойность» и с тем же Изарко Равайоли в главной роли...

Dopo Rivelazioni di uno Psichiatra sul Mondo Perverso del Sesso, "Oscenità" è la seconda incursione di Renato Polselli nella pseudo inchiesta socio-sessuale. Isarco Ravaioli è il dottor Roberts, moderatore di un singolare dibattito tra la fragile Mireille, vittima di una serie di prevaricazioni fisiche e psicologiche, e gli stessi individui responsabili del suo dramma. La vicenda le offre lo spunto per una disamina sul concetto di oscenità e sull'eterna vessazione dell'uomo nei confronti della donna, esemplificati attraverso una serie di filmati che vanno dalle testimonianze bibliche alle opinioni di gente comune. Realizzato nei primi anni '70 con il titolo di Quando l'amore è Oscenità, il film fu rifiutato dalla Censura per il contenuto sovversivo, costringendo l'autore a un radicale cambiamento dei dialoghi per una nuova versione che sarebbe apparsa nelle sale soltanto nel 1980...

Gotz Spielmann, who won rave reviews for the extraordinary Revanche, earlier directed this equally stark and grim movie that, along with Revanche, manages to be highly indicative of his terrific grip over the medium. In fact, though not many might be able to appreciate this comparison, I’d say his choice of subject and storytelling bear striking similarity to Bengali auteur Rituparno Ghosh. Inspired by the narrative structure of Ameros Perros, Antares tells the interconnected tales of individuals brought together by a car accident. The movie, without ever taking a stance on the morality or motives of the characters, has managed to marvelously bring forth the lurking sadness and complexities in their seemingly mundane lives, and paint a wonderfully layered picture of the Austrian urban milieu. In fact, Vienna could very well be replaced with any metropolis of the world and yet the relevance of the story would remain the same, such is the universality of the themes of human loneliness and man’s futile attempts at connecting to someone, anyone, in hopes of not dying alone. The unrelentingly heavy subject matter, the languorous pacing that is quintessentially European Art Cinema, and the singular lack of any background score might be off-putting to many, but I found the movie far more gripping than most thrillers. And the fact that the acting is consistently first rate throughout made viewing the movie that much more engaging...
